A ‘shack’ doesn’t necessarily conjure images of luxe comfort and detailed finishes, but this latest project will be an exception to the rule. The humble dwelling in Narrabeen is undergoing an external and internal cosmetic makeover to make it the envy of every visitor and passerby.
In the back of the property a new entertaining area is coming into existence. Through a new set of barn doors, the covered deck area leads seamlessly into the backyard down an expansive set of stairs. Aesthetic details include a cathedral pitched ceiling, copper lighting features and new hardwood balustrading. Rusted steel finishes add a unique touch to the handrails.
To create a flat backyard area, Timber Artistry excavated and filled in the space, then completed some minor landscaping.
On the shack itself, facade work is being undertaken to update all cosmetic linings both internally and externally. New timber windows, doors and floors are being installed throughout. Custom work includes a custom timber kitchenette, to create a simple country feel, and custom dining tables and bench seats built to suit the home’s living areas.
